Volunteers are needed to help work the book fair 12/2 – 12/13. Kids love the fair and it cannot be successful without help from parents – please consider signing up for a time slot. If you’d like to work the fair when your child will be coming in, please let us know your teacher name and we’ll tell you when they’re scheduled to be there! All volunteers must be cleared by Wake County – so if you haven’t, you’ll need to fill out the background check info at the school!
Q: When will my student go to the Book Fair?
Students will visit the Book Fair twice. The first time will be to view books and create their wish lists. The second time will be with their class to purchase books. Your teacher can tell you when the viewing and purchase days are.
Q: Are there any other opportunities to purchase books?
Books can be purchased at the Family Nights on December 4th and 10 (6-8pm), and at the Donuts with Dudes events on December 5th and 12th (8-8:45am).
Q: Are you charging tax for the books?
No, but for cash transactions we will round up to the nearest dollar to avoid having to give loose change.
Q: Did my teacher have a wish list?
Yes! Your teacher has wish list items on the Teacher Board in the Media Center. Please consider buying a book for your teacher and specials teachers.
The PTA will design a one of a kind program to bring a student idea to life. It will be like no other in Wake County. Would you like to help design this program? Judge entries? Make or Code for our students? In January, we will begin this project and roll it out to the teachers. Head to the link and select the Innovation Program in the Student Affairs section.
