What Is a Spirit Rock?
A Spirit Rock is an opportunity to share exciting events with our school community by painting your own message. You can reserve the rock for anything; a student’s birthday, thank a teacher, congratulatory events, good luck on competitions and tournaments, etc. The rock is a fun way to spread any kind of positive message. Please note that profanity, political messages and business advertisements are not permitted.
$25 reserves the rock!
How Can I Rent the Rock?
It’s simple, just to go the RESERVE ROCK button above and reserve the date range you want. Then use the PAY FOR RESERVATION button to pay for your date range.
When I Reserve the Rock What Does That Mean?
If you reserve the rock, you are allowed to start painting the rock either Sunday morning or Wednesday after 4:30pm, depending on if you reserved the first or second half of the week respectively.
YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RENT FROM SUNDAY (ANYTIME) UNTIL WEDNESDAY 4PM OR FROM WEDNESDAY AT 4:30PM UNTIL SATURDAY
NOTE: Your design will stay on the rock until the next rental is purchased and painted. PTA will not paint it back to blank slate between each rental.
How Much Does It Cost and How Do I Pay?
PAYMENT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION.
Reservation rates are $25. 100% of the proceeds comes back to the PTA. Payments are accepted through a payment link (credit card) above. Your rental will be removed if payment is not received in a timely manner.
What Supplies Do I Need?
Plan on using 1-2 cans of spray paint or a quart of outdoor paint for the base coat and then additional paint for the design. You will need to bring drop cloths or garbage bags to protect the ground from overspray and you may also want to bring painters tape, scissors, templates or brushes to aid in the design.
When Can I Paint My Rock?
You can start painting the rock either Sunday morning or Wednesday at 4:30pm, depending on if you reserved the first or second half of the week respectively. If weather or something else prevents you from painting the rock during your half of the week, please reach out to reschedule or refund.
What Can I Reserve the Rock For?

Please note that profanity, political and business advertising are not permitted.
Spirit Rock paintings MUST be in good taste. PES Staff and PTA will regularly monitor the Spirit Rock to ensure that paintings fall within the above established guidelines. PES PTA has the right to remove any painting deemed inappropriate by school administration without notice.
What If I Reserve the Rock and the Weather is Bad?
The rock can be towel dried and the paint will adhere even in the rain or snow if you want to brave the elements. If painting in the rain or snow is not your thing, revisit the calendar and reserve the next available date and email Fundraising@ParksidePTA.net to let us know of the date change.
Can the PTA Paint the Rock for Me?
The PTA is not responsible for painting the rock. You can find someone to paint it for you, but painting the rock is fun and we are sure that no matter what you do the person you are painting it for will love it.
Who else can paint the Rock?

Fine Print Liability
The person/family painting the rock assumes responsibility/liability for all people involved. The school and the PTA are not responsible for any damage to clothing or supplies or potential injuries sustained while painting. Further the person/family assumes responsibility/liability for any damage done to school property as a direct result of their rental.
